Vacationland Federal Credit Union & Dollar Dog Celebrate the “Dog Days of Summer”

SANDUSKY, OH - VFCU is celebrating its 50th Anniversary all year long.

During the month of August the theme was "Dog Days of Summer". VFCU showed their support to the Erie County Humane Society with a drive for donations and or cash for the Society. Saturday, August 12th, VFCU sponsored an Adopt-a-Pet rally. It was held at their Perkins Avenue facility. K96, a local radio station, did a live remote. Dollar Dog, VFCU's Kids Club mascot, was on hand to meet and greet children and their parents. Those who visited were treated to a snow cone and bag of popcorn. Prizes were given out during the event. On air requests were made for donations. The Humane Society was very pleased that the 3 dogs they brought were all adopted, making it a very satisfying day for them. Three little girls canvassed their neighborhood and brought out $35, 1 cage, 1 travel crate, 2 dog dishes, and 2 bags of food that they collected. All in all, it was a very successful day!
