A
Picnic With
Dollar
Dog!
BLUE BELL, PA - Merck, Sharpe and Dohme Credit Union threw
a suprise birthday party for Dollar Dog on September 13.

Dollar Dog and his friend Kevin Wilcox
According
to Assistant Vice President of Marketing Brian Wilcox, "we’ve
been holding events at Christmas and Easter, but wanted to
schedule something in between April & December. We came up
with the idea of having a Dollar Dog Summer Party. We rented
the pavilion at Wentz Run Park in Blue Bell to accommodate
our anticipated crowd of 80+ kids and their parents."

Dollar Dog greets kids at the picnic
For
refreshments they cooked hot dogs, had soft pretzels, juice
boxes and lemonade. Dollar Dog served cupcakes and handed
out helium balloons. Kids enjoyed different games for various
grade levels. The games focused on teaching kids about money.
There were matching and memory games, money bingo games and
activity pages.
Each
time a child played a game or completed an activity page,
they earned “$1” in play money which they could spend at the
"store" for prizes.
