How
To Join
Simply bring your child to the credit union and open a Dollar
Dog Kids' Club account with an initial deposit of $5 or
more. The Dollar Dog account earns a higher dividend rate than
regular savings. Once the account is open, be sure to make at
least one deposit (of any amount) every six months to maintain
your Dollar Dog membership. If your child already has a credit
union savings account with at least $5, then you can simply e-mail
us or call us to request a switch to the Dollar Dog account.
Who
Can Join?
Family members (including children, grandchildren, and nieces
and nephews) of existing members, ages 12 and under, are eligible.
How
do I get started?
If
you already have a regular savings:
Call us at 503-626-6600 or 800-452-8502 or e-mail
us the child's name and member number and request to switch
your regular savings to the "Dollar Dog Kids' Club Account."
If
you are opening a brand new account:
You will need to complete a membership application in the child's
name, using the child's social security number. You can print
one from our membership
application web page, or you can call to request one from
our Phone Branch at 503-626-6600 or 800-452-8502.
What if I have less than $5?
That's OK! Open a regular savings account to build up
your balance, then call to switch to the Dollar Dog account when
the balance is at least $5. Children will receive 5 Dollar Dog
Coins when the account is switched to Dollar Dog. Click here
to find out about dollar dog coins.
