Start Them Young!

Is that birthday money or allowance burning a hole in your child's pocket? Teaching kids financial responsibility is more difficult-and more important-than ever. Why? A lot of people want your child's money and they have more ways than ever to deliver the message and entice them. Today's kids face "easy credit," identity theft, telemarketing, e-mail, the Internet, radio, satellite TV and more. Who is teaching kids that they need to pay themselves first? The Dollar Dog program directly rewards children for participating in the savings process. It's a great way to help kids learn about the importance of saving, earning, and even investing money. Kids will learn the basics of healthy saving and spending habits, and have some fun too.

Dollar Dog members can participate in fun events and contests at the credit union, and Dollar Dog's Clubhouse is always open for learning, fun, and games. Any child age 12 and under who is eligible for membership can join the Dollar Dog Kids' Club.
